Keith Block, M.D. at the Block Medical Center in Evanston, IL considers it important to use a complete detoxification program along with both conventional and complementary techniques. His approach is to use "medical gradualism" - beginning with the least invasive therapies, moving up the stepladder toward more invasive therapies only as needed and only after the patient has become thoroughly informed. Each program is tailored to the individual and includes nutrition, body and mind fitness, botanicals, supplements, electrotherapy, stress management, and medical care.
