In 1999, The Gerson Institute moved its facilities to Oasis and this is where Charlette
Gerson is currently working. Diet and nutrition is very important at
this facility. The Gerson program is, however, separate from Oasis's
program. As of May, 2002, Gerson has moved to a new facility. Go to
our Gerson page for more
information.
They are currently the only facility
authorized by The Issel's Foundation
to use use the name of Issels and Issels Treatment. Call 888-500-4673.
They have been treating cancer patients over 35 years. Go to http://www.issels.com/reply_oasis.asp
for more information. The Issels Treatment Center is a separate
entity within the Oasis hospital.
Oasis uses mostly alternative therapies,
but in certain situations they may use a combination of both
conventional and alternative therapies. For example, for liver cancer
they use a combination of 5FU (chemotherapy) with laetrile and inject
it directly into the liver. They are having some good success with
this.
There are several programs including a
4 Day Program for people doing chemotherapy who want to complement it
with alternative approaches or for those show are not sure if
alternative medicine is the best solution but want to try it. A
program will be designed during these four days for you to take home
with you. There is a strong
religious side to this facility.
There is a write up on Dr. Contreras in
Burton Goldberg's book The
Alternative Medicine Definitive Guide to Cancer.
They have an office in

The information on this page is provided by
The Cancer Cure Foundation based on information we have received from a
variety of sources, including the clinic itself, feedback from people who
have gone to the clinic, and in some cases from clinic tours. The listing
of a doctor or clinic here does not signify an endorsement by the Cancer
Cure Foundation, unless we have indicated it. We encourage you to check
out each clinic by visiting the clinic if possible, talking to people who
have gone to the clinic (ask the clinic for contact information of people
who have gone to the clinic), and by checking with other
organizations as to what they know about the clinic. There are also
some forums you can join to
get feedback from others. We would also be happy to tell you what we know
about any of these clinics.
If you do go to any of these clinics for treatment, be sure to mention
you heard about them through The Cancer Cure Foundation, and be sure to
let us know about your experience, positive or negative. Any feedback you
can offer may help others who are trying to decide which clinic to go to
or which therapy to use.
